Is 2016 the year you finally take your very first trip? We’re here to help! Last year we launched a new series called How To Plan a Trip From Scratch. The idea is to break down every single step of the process so that nomads-in-waiting can find traveling less overwhelming. And we’re happy to announce that our second installment of the series is here!

On this episode, we give you some conventional (“track your expenses”) and not-so-conventional (“crash on your ex-boyfriend’s best friend’s couch”) advice to save up for your dream trip. We also include our top 5 tips for creating and keeping a travel budget.

  1. Fabulous tips, very helpful thank you. I do agree with you about mindset – once i decide I’m going to go somewhere, it becomes my top priority and something I’m prepared to sacrifice other things for.

  2. I am not a terrific saver, but once I set my mind on a trip I can focus and stick to a saving plan. Cutting out coffee and eating out is a great start. Thank you for linking up with #TheWeeklyPostcard
