In this episode, we talk to Eliza Reid, a writer, editor and co-founder of the Iceland Writers Retreat,  an annual gathering for published and aspiring authors comprised of small-group writing workshops and cultural tours in Iceland. A Reykjavik resident for the past 12 years, Eliza shares her insights on Icelandic culture, her favorite things to do in Iceland and what exactly goes down at the Iceland Writers Retreat – and how you can attend!

Eliza is in Chicago this weekend as part of Taste of Iceland in Chicago 2016. She is leading a discussion called “The Write Stuff: Why Iceland Inspires Us to Put Pen to Paper” on March 20th at the Chicago Athletic Association Hotel. Iceland is one of the most popular destinations for creative minds, and Eliza will focus her talk on what makes Iceland so inspirational for lovers of the written word. The event is free, but you should RSVP to Chicago Athletic Association Events.
