1) Where have you traveled?

Until I moved to Chicago, I had only traveled up the Eastern side of the United States and New York was the furthest I traveled. Just recently (in the past two years) I traveled to Colorado for the first time for a friend’s wedding and learned that altitude sickness is no joke! Being Floridian, I’ve been to different beaches, the Everglades, Disney World, Busch Gardens, and Universal Studios.

2) What’s been your favorite trip so far?

About six years ago I took a really fun trip to New York City. I saw friends, hung out with family, and finally went to The Metropolitan Museum of Art for the first time, which was something I’ve wanted to do since I read From The Mixed Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler when I was nine! I will admit though, the only non-fun portion of the trip was when my wallet was stolen on the subway the day before I was supposed to fly home to Chicago. Even that was an adventure in itself!

3) What are three things you always take with you when you travel?

A portable phone charger, my laptop, and extra clothes just in case I may need them.

4) What’s your next destination?

I’m not sure where my next travel destination is! I do want to go back to NYC or Colorado (I’m due for another visit to both). I would also like to visit either Los Angeles or Boston since I’ve never been to either place before.

5) Give us one reason why you travel.

It gets me out of the house.
